rdate, date: set time or sync

(1) just set time

# date 0101122413

its mean, “Month/Day/Hour/Minute/Year”

(2) set sync time

rdate -s http://www.hanyang.ac.kr

then, the time of your server will synchronized with “www.hanyang.ac.kr” web.

* you may need to install “rdate” -> type “yum install rdate”, or “sudo apt-get install rdate”

(3) set sync time with “date”

# date MMDDhhmmYYYY.ss && hwclock -w

(4) sync time of “f00” node to others

# jscexec ntpdate -s -b f00
